Obituary for Donald Eugene Tucker Sr.

Mr. Donald Eugene Tucker, Sr., age 68, of Clifton Forge, died Wednesday, April 26, 2017 at his residence. He was the husband of Kathy P. Tucker to whom he was married for forty-one years and eight months.
Mr. Tucker was born March 18, 1949 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Mattie Tingler Tucker and Joe Knight Tucker, Sr. Donald was employed by Chapman Plumbing and Heating where he served our community for over fifty years and became the icon for the company this past year at Christmas. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Tucker is survived by his children, Sandra K. Tucker Ogle and husband, Fred Ogle, Donald Eugene Tucker, Jr. and fiancée, Lisa Webb, Michelle Ann Mabry and Margaret Ann Tucker; grandchildren, Brandon Lee and wife, Melinda, Ashley Renee Sparks, Gypsy Amber Tucker, Charles Michael Stone, III, Olivia Shauntal Holloway, Jasemine Mariah Holloway, Rodney Desmond Holloway; eight great grandchildren; honorary daughters, Tiffany King Saunders, Ann Marie Taylor, Alisha Marie Taylor and Meca Marie Taylor; two brothers, Danny Tucker and significant other, Penny Davis and Charlie Tucker and wife, Marion Tucker; and lifelong friends, Willie Homer Johnson and Burwin Dunnie Tucker.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Tucker was preceded in death by one sister, Leola Mason and three brothers, Ryland Tucker, Wilbur Tucker and Joe Knight Tucker, Jr.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 3, 2017, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Mason officiating, assisted by Rev. William O. Hickman, III. Interment will follow in Lone Star Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Dennis King, James Gibson, Alex Medina, Nick Brizzi, R.J. Tingler, and Brian May. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Charles Lee, Willie Homer Johnson, Burwin Dunnie Tucker, Rodney Desmond Holloway, Michael Maurice Thompson, Tater Chapman, Dont'e Lemon and Josh Clark.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home and at the residence at other times. After the graveside service, friends are welcome to go to Concerned Christian Church, Cherry Street, Covington for refreshments.
The family wishes to thank Chapman Plumbing and Heating as well as Mountain Regional Hospice Care for their wonderful care and support these last few months. The family would also like to thank Deaconess Evangeline Holloway along with her husband, Deacon Lee Wayne Holloway for their support.
