Mrs. Gloria Jean Robertson Smith, age 72, of Covington, died Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at the Woodlands Nursing Home and Rehab, Clifton Forge. She was the wife of Robert Lee Smith.
Mrs. Smith was born April 16, 1944 in Narrows, the daughter of the late Luther Frank Robertson and Dana Kanode Robertson. A resident of this community since 1964, she was a housekeeper. A very dedicated member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Gloria enjoyed the house to house ministry. Most of all, Mrs. Smith loved taking care of her home and her family.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by a son, Vincent Lee Smith and wife, Dreama of Narrows; a daughter, Michele Welford and husband, Andrew of Covington; three grandchildren, Amber DiGuilio, Vinson Taze Smith and Mikel Garrett Smith; two brothers, Ted Robertson and wife, Mitzi of Narrows and Gary Michael Robertson and wife, Anita of Ballard, WV; and a sister, Linda Sue Pack of Peterstown.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy Ray Robertson and Robert Luther Robertson.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 25, 2017, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses with Elder Dave Talbert officiating.
