Virginia Myers

                Mrs. Virginia Gennive Myers, age 83, of 4120 Johnson Creek Road, died Tuesday, October 26, 2010, at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.  She was the wife of the late Alvin Hudnall Myers.

                Mrs. Myers was born August 17, 1927 in Bath County, the daughter of the late Willie Myers and Mamie King Myers.  She was a homemaker, enjoyed being outdoors and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  Mrs. Myers was of the Methodist faith.

                Mrs. Myers is survived by two sons, Alvin Wayne Myers and wife, Debbie of Johnson Creek and Ronald Lee Myers and wife, Shirley of Salem, VA; four grandchildren, John Myers and wife, Kim, Nathan Myers and wife, Dakota, Kara Myers and Emily Myers, all of Covington; two sisters, Sylvia Jean Cox of Fincastle and Arlene Rogers of Georgia; and a number of nieces and nephews.

                In addition to her parents, Willie Myers and Mamie King Myers and her husband, Alvin Hudnall Myers, Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by one grandson, Dewayne Myers; three brothers, Acie Myers, Lawrence Myers and Burton Myers.

                A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, October 30, 2010, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug E. Hollenbeck officiating.  Interment will follow in Fletcher Chapel Cemetery.

                 Active pallbearers will be John Myers, Nathan Myers, Andrew Welford, Paul Westbury, Mike Deisher, Lindsay Cartwright and Steve Cox.

                The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
