Mr. Michael Grady Crawford, age 58, of 216A Chestnut Street, died on Thursday, May 13, 2010, at University of Virginia Hospital, Charlottesville.

                Mr. Crawford was born October 10, 1951 in Covington, the son of the late Harry W. Crawford and Sue T. Crawford.  He was a graduate of Covington High School, Class of 1970 and was a member of McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church.    Mr. Crawford was a former manager of the Etna Service Station, a former employee of Wright’s One Stop and enjoyed fishing and hunting.

                Mr. Crawford is survived by three brothers, James L. Crawford and wife, Martha S. Crawford of Covington, Thomas K. Crawford of Covington, Gary W. Crawford and wife, Jay Crawford of Herrin, IL; a sister, Patricia C. Martin and husband, Joseph R. Martin of Covington; three sisters-in-law, Barbara C. Crawford of Rock Hill, SC, Jan Crawford and Dianna Crawford, both of Pensacola, FL, and was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews.

                In addition to his parents, Harry W. Crawford and Sue T. Crawford, Mr. Crawford was preceded in death by three brothers, Gerald L. Crawford, H. Eldon Crawford and Lawrence L. Crawford and one nephew, Thomas Craig Crawford.

                A memorial service will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Sunday, May 16, 2010, at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Mike Fleenor officiating. 

                The family will receive friends from 2:00 P.M. until service time at McAllister Memorial Presbyterian Church.

                In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alleghany Highland Free Clinic, P.O. Box 216, Low Moor, VA 24457.
