John Nalley Mr. John Robert Nalley, age 78, of 215 2nd Avenue, Clifton Forge, died Sunday, June 27, 2010, at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor. He was the husband of Margaret Pauliene Goodspeed Nalley. Mr. Nalley was born September 16, 1931 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Richard Kingsman Nalley and Lura Dare Nalley. He served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corp during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Nalley was employed as an electrician with the Local 26 IBEW, Washington, DC. A resident of this community since 1989, he was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. In addition to his wife, Margaret Pauliene Goodspeed Nalley, Mr. Nalley is survived by two sons, John Hazen Nalley of Frederick, MD, Robert Wallace Nalley of Roanoke; two daughters, Alice Marie Gravely of Beverly, MD, Helen Mary Renar of Covington; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one brother, Richard K. Nalley, Jr. of Punta Gorda, FL; two sisters, Marrietta Nalley Minnix of Punta Gorda, FL and Lura Nalley Harvey of Vero Beach, FL. In addition to his parents, Richard Kingsman Nalley and Lura Dare Nalley, Mr. Nalley was preceded in death by a son, Samuel Eugene Nalley in 1990 and a brother, Russell Nalley. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, June 30, 2010, at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Father Arlon Vergara, OSA. Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 10:15 A.M. Military rites at the graveside will be conducted by Curtis A. Smith Post 1033 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers will be Tom Gravely, Robert Nalley and John Nalley The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 620 Jefferson Avenue, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O.
