Mrs. Irene Jack Null, age 85, of Covington, died Saturday, January 14, 2012, at LewisGale Hospital – Alleghany, Low Moor.  She was the wife of the late George Eslar Null.

                Mrs. Null was born August 13, 1926 in West Virginia, the daughter of the late Arnold Calvin Jack and Vada Bryant Jack.  She enjoyed working at her job with Social Services until her retirement.  Mrs. Null was a member of Covington Baptist Church.

                Mrs. Null is survived by one daughter, Dianne Null George and husband, Gary of Mt. Jackson; one grandson, James M. Montgomery of Berryville; one granddaughter, Briana Montgomery Hedden; two step-granddaughters, Dana George Liscio and Aimee George; two great granddaughters, Ava Hedden and Audrey Hedden; two sisters, Wanetta Burnside and Martha Waite of California

                In addition to her parents, Arnold Calvin Jack and Vada Bryant Jack, and her husband, George Eslar Null, Mrs. Null was preceded in death by one son, George Burton Null; one brother, Arnold Hayse Jack; and two sisters, Arline Scott and JoAnn Jack.

                A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 18, 2012, at Covington Baptist Church with the Rev. Chris Poluikis officiating.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

                The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
