Harvey Reynolds
Mr. Harvey Lee Reynolds, Sr., age, 67, of 4429 Midland Trail, died
Saturday, September 12, 2009, at his residence. He was the husband of
Sylvia Bush Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds was born November 12, 1941 in Craig County,
the son of the late Claude Swanson Reynolds and Charlotte Harless
Reynolds. A resident of this community since 1962, he was employed by
Westvaco for forty-one years before retiring in 2003. Mr. Reynolds was
a member of Gravel Hill Christian Church. A charter member of
Bordernier Riding Club, he especially enjoyed farming and riding his
horse and buggy through Callaghan.
In addition to his wife, Sylvia Bush Reynolds for
forty-six years, Mr. Reynolds is survived by a son, Harvey Lee Reynolds,
Jr. and wife, Kasey of Callaghan; three daughters, Lynne R. Clarke and
Buddy Seldomridge, Lesley R. Nickell, Lora Marie Reynolds and Josh
Downey, all of Callaghan; six grandchildren, Ty Reynolds, Colby
Reynolds, Russell Reynolds, Anthony Clarke, Jacob Clarke, Brandon Lee
Nickell; and a sister, Jean R. Couch of Richmond.
In addition to his parents, Claude Swanson Reynolds and
Charlotte Harless Reynolds, Mr. Reynolds was preceded in death by one
granddaughter, Charlee Faye Duncan in 1999.
A funeral service will be conducted at 6:30 P.M.
Tuesday, September 15, 2009, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with
the Rev. Lynn Wright officiating. The family will receive friends on
Tuesday evening following the service at Loving Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Alan Botkins, Willie Graham, Sr.,
Alfred Paxton, JD Cales, Dabney Pasco, Sr., Ronald Bolling, R.C. Cole,
Jeff Bush, Jay Perdue, and Gary Kimberlin. Alternate pallbearers will
be Steve Hicks, Basil Capaldo and Pat Hilton.
Interment will be held at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September
16, 2009, at Ross Cemetery, Craig County. Those wishing to attend the
interment should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 11:00 A.M.
