 Fleta Glover

                Mrs. Fleta Pearl Humphries Glover, age 91, of Covington, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at the Brian Center –Alleghany, Low Moor.  She was the wife of the late Osborne William Glover who preceded her in death in 1990.

                Mrs. Glover was born August 28, 1920 in the Big Ridge Section of Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Vess Verner Humphries and Ella Pearl Fridley.  She was a lifetime member of this community and a homemaker.   She was a member of Dunlap Christian Church.

                Mrs. Glover is survived by three sons, William C. Glover of Snake Run, Wayne Edward Glover of Sweet Chalybeate and Ronnie Lee Glover of Union, WV; five grandchildren, Susie Cosgrove, Jennifer Martin, Ronnie Lee Glover, Jr., Johnny Glover and Freddy Glover; numerous great grandchildren; special friends, Maria Rose and “Paul Boggs.”

                Mrs. Glover was preceded in death by seventeen brothers and sisters.

                 A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, December 29, 2011, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Bill Gilliland officiating.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.  A dinner following the service will be held at Sweet Springs Fire House.

                Pallbearers will be Pat Loving, Ronnie Lee Glover, Jr., Johnny Glover, Freddy Glover, Jeff Humphries and Steve Massie.

                The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home and at other times at the residence of Wayne Glover, 601 Kanawha Trail, Covington.

                Memorial tributes may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
