Edith Snead

                Mrs. Edith Tyree Snead, age 86, of 800 W. Ridgeway Street, Apt. 301, Clifton Forge, died Sunday, September 12, 2010.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Thomas Junior Snead.

                Mrs. Snead was born June 12, 1924 in Alleghany County, the daughter of the late Emmett Ashley Tyree and Sallie Painter Tyree.

                A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 15, 2010, from the Chapel of Loving Funeral Home with the Rev. Michael Snider officiating.  Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.

                The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.

                The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Mountain Regional Hospice, P.O. Box 637, Clifton Forge, VA 24422 or Christ United Methodist Church, 200 E. Fudge Street, Covington, VA 24426.
