  Billy Boguess

                Mr. Billy Lee Boguess, Sr., age 77, of 703 Pocahontas Avenue, died Friday, September 10, 2010, at Alleghany Regional Hospital, Low Moor.  He was the husband of Carlistle Gann Boguess.

                Mr. Boguess was born February 5, 1933 in Alleghany County, the son of the late Emmett Boguess and Bertha Slayton Boguess.  He served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard.  Mr. Boguess was a former employee of Central Motor Lines of High Point, NC.  He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

                In addition to his wife, Carlistle Gann Boguess, Mr. Boguess is survived by ten children, Jeannie Jerman and husband, J.C. of Covington, Bill Boguess and wife, Kathy of North Carolina, Kenneth Boguess and wife, Leanna, Rowena Bennett, Sherry Fridley, Birdena Peters and husband, Larry, Billy Boguess, Jr. and wife, Tammy of South Carolina, Emmett Boguess and wife, Jeannie, Alvin Boguess and wife, Sharon and Roger Boguess and wife, Amy, all of Covington; twenty grandchildren; and twenty great grandchildren; a special brother-in-law, Kenneth Dewey Tucker and wife, Rowena; a sister-in-law, Dodie Jack and husband, Delano; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins; special friends, Tildon Ward and wife, Janet; and his beloved dog, Kibbles.

                 In addition to his parents, Emmett Boguess and Bertha Slayton Boguess, Mr. Boguess was preceded in death by special friends, Rag Myers and wife, Pooch.

                A funeral service will be conducted at 5:00 P.M. Sunday, September 12, 2010, from the chapel of Loving Funeral Home with Dave Talbert officiating.

                The family will receive friends on Sunday evening following the service at Loving Funeral Home.

                The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2728 Colonial Avenue, Suite 2, Roanoke, VA 24015.
