Bill Webb

                Mr. William David “Bill” Webb, Sr., age 63, of 4205 Johnson Creek Road, died Friday, October 9,

2009, at his residence.  He was the husband of Mary Sartain Webb.

                Mr. Webb was born September 21, 1946 in Alleghany County, the son of the late John Albert Webb and Dora Lowe Webb.  A lifetime member of this community, he was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church.  Mr. Webb was a former owner and operator of Bill Webb Plumbing and Heating, retiring in January, 2009.  An avid outdoorsman, he loved bear hunting and was a member of the Covington Moose Lodge, 610 L.O.O.M.

                In addition to his wife, Mary Sartain Webb, Mr. Webb is survived by a son, William David Webb, Jr. and wife, Kara of Union, WV; a daughter, Robin Webb Watson and wife, Jay of Marion; nine grandchildren, Amanda B. Webb, Samuel D. Webb, Jarrett W. Webb, Owen O. Webb, Christopher J. Watson, Madison N. Watson, Grace Watson, Olivia Watson, Bayly Watson; two sisters, Jackie Carper and husband, Leo of Covington, Joan Sanchez of Charlottesville; one brother, Lloyd Webb of Covington; and many special friends including, Moon Persinger, Jerry Judy, Nick Nickell, Buford Brown, John Dunn and the people of the Covington Moose Lodge.

                In addition to his parents, John Albert Webb and Dora Lowe Webb, Mr. Webb was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Corby Joe Webb and one sister Helen Ruthrough.

                A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 12, 2009, at Johnson Creek Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Burns officiating, assisted by the Rev. Andrew Basham.

                The family will receive friends on Sunday evening from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. at Loving Funeral Home.
