Mrs. Betty Ann Lewis, age 60, formerly of South Dalton Avenue, Covington, died Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke.

                Mrs. Lewis was born June 14, 1951 in Alleghany County, the daughter of Virginia Fridley Persinger and the late Lebert L. "Buster" Persinger.

                Mrs. Lewis is survived by one brother, David “Butch” Persinger of Covington; one sister, Linda Stark of Covington; two aunts, Mabel Persinger and Alberta “Sis” Pritt and husband, Robert; and a number of nieces and nephews.

                A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 3, 2011, at Lone Star Cemetery with the Rev. Charles Russell officiating.
